Seabrook Island Purple Martin Nesting team is focused on supporting the conservation of this beautiful, acrobatic species that are dependent on man made cavity nests to build their colonies and raise their young. Our nesting team is proud to be a part of a national effort to track the population and support Purple Martin conservation.

Purple Martins are engaging birds that provide much enjoyment through their social chatter their entertaining flight, and insect-eating habits. Once martins take up residence, they return year after year, bringing a dynamic way to welcome spring! Matins also provide opportunities for nature projects enjoyable to young and old a like.
